The Alcove

The Alcove is the main resort restaurant at Joondalup Resort in Perth, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner in a polished setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring plenty of light into the dining room, while the outdoor area looks across a lagoon-style pool. There is also a lounge bar for a drink before dinner, making the venue suited to a relaxed meal as well as a more considered evening out.

The kitchen’s approach centres on fresh West Australian produce and seasonal ingredients, with the menu changing as produce availability shifts. Futari Wagyu is a signature inclusion across the menus, valued for its fine marbling and tender, richly flavoured texture. Drinks are given similar attention through a playful wine and cocktail list, while the broader offering includes breakfast, à la carte dining, lunch, bar and alfresco options, children’s meals, in-room dining and beverages.

For a more occasion-focused visit, The Alcove hosts High Tea on the last Sunday of each month from midday to 3pm. The experience includes savoury bites, pastries and house-made scones, with premium tea, coffee and a glass of sparkling wine on arrival. Guests can upgrade with cocktails or a bottle of Moët & Chandon. Dietary requirements need to be noted when booking, as some items are prepared in advance. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to the High Tea booking.

The venue can also accommodate group gatherings, with a private Wine Room for up to 12 guests and a Conservatory for up to 80. That makes it a practical choice for a small celebration, a larger gathering or a family meal, with a kids menu available. The Alcove is open for buffet breakfast each day from 7am to 10.30am, lunch from noon to 3pm and dinner from 5pm to 9pm, with the bar and alfresco area available from 11am until late. Seasonal menu changes and a 15 per cent public holiday surcharge apply.
